Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take peppercons in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely.

In a pan heat oil and temper with ingredients mentioned for tempering. Let it sizzle and then add finely chopped onion, slit green chili, curry leaves and sauté until onions are translucent. Add in crushed ginger, garlic and sauté until the raw smell goes away.

* Step 3

Add in cleaned chicken pieces along with salt and saute until chicken changes it colour. Add in turmeric powder, kashmiri chili powder, coriander powder, ground peppercons, and remaining salt. Mix and saute well.

* Step 4

Add in chopped tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are soft. Add little water to help it cook. Grind coconut to a fine paste and add it to the chicken gravy. Adjust water and salt.Let it come boil until oil floats. Once chicken is cooked well, add in chopped coriander leaves, mix and switch off the flame.

Hot & spicy Pepper Chicken Kurma is ready to be served with phulka, roti, dosa or idli.
