Brussels Sprouts Their Way

Proof that bacon makes everything taste better, including sprouts.

Ingredient

Cooking time :

Olive oil

6 oz

Bacon

1 dash

salt

1 dash

Pepper

1 3/4 cup

chicken stock

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First prepare sprouts by trimming the bottoms & washing throughly.

* Step 2

Heat olive in a large saute pan add bacon, because it makes everything better. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until fat is rendered and bacon is cooked. Remove bacon to a plate lined with paper towels. Add sprouts, salt & pepper to fat saute over medium heat (5 mins) until lightly browned. Add chicken stock. lower heat, cook uncovered, stirring occasionaly, until sprouts are fork tender. If necessary while cooking add more stock should it start to dry up while cooking. Return bacon to pan, stir, and serve immediately.
