Chutney: Christmas Chutney
This chummy takes its inspiration from Christmas mincemeat and will make it delicious addition to your Christmas table. If you make this please take a photo and post together with a recipe
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place the apples, dried fruit and orange rind into a large saucepan. Stir in the mixed spice, vinegar and sugar. Heat gently stirring until all the sugar has dissolved
* Step 2
Bring to the boil then lower the heat and simmer for 40 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thick. Ladle into warm sterilised jars, cover and seal. Keep one month before using
* Step 3
Be Careful! Watch the chutney towards the end of the cooking time, as he had the tendency to catch on the bottom of the pan. Stir frequently at this stage
