Dessicated coconut

When I have excess coconut grated or half used, I simply either freeze it and use for Chutney or sundry and air dry it till all moisture vanishes. Use in your various recipes or for your baked goodies Here I had half medium sized coconut. #kitchentip - sometimes I add hot water and soak the dessicated coconut and I get fresh coconut #cookpadindia

60-70 gms

1-2 days

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Grate the coconut and spread it on a Steel/ Aluminium plate. Sun dry it for an hour or two in places with hot sunny weather and then air dry it in the AC room till all moisture completely dries

. Keep it in a zip lock bag or airtight container and store it in the fridge.
