Xmas Mince Pies

A mince pie is a sweet pie of English origin filled with mincemeat, being a mixture of fruit, spices and suet. The pies are traditionally served during the Christmas season in much of the English-speaking world.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Lightly toast the pecans in a frying pan for a couple of minutes until darker in colour and aromatic. Finely chop the dried cranberries, apricots and citrus peel. Chop the pecans. Add the fruit and nuts to the mincemeat along with the angostura bitters, white pepper, mixed spice, nutmeg, citrus zest and the whisky. Mix well.
