TOUM: Lebanese Garlic Sauce/Dip (Vegan Version)

A very popular & traditional garlic sauce or dip from the land… Mostly used as in the generous amount of spreads on the Pita Breads & the Shwarmas… Yet, it can very well be used in many other delicacies as well regardless of which province it hails from & mostly if you’re a Garlic 🧄 Lover

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

At the outset: Add in the blender jar- The Garlic Cloves/Pods with some salt & pulse it for sometime until it’s well mashed… This procedure requires a little patience to get to its lustrous final delectable outcome of it

* Step 3

Time to add in the oil very slowly & gently & keep on blending it for a couple of mins time- This method need be repeated until we get a nice, smooth & creamy-fluffy texture of the dip just alike the mayonnaise- Before the 2nd last batch, add in the fresh lime juice to it & keep blending it nicely- Since, ours is the Vegan version of it we’re not using the egg whites in it- Which can surely be used if you’re making it non-vegan version of it

* Step 4

We can also choose to do this in a slightly different variation: Which’s like- Add into the blender jar at the outset the Garlic Pods with the salt, pulse it a few times & then, add into it the ice cubes (aforesaid optional ingredient) & keep on pouring in the oil slowly if your blender jar has the option of adding in while running it, if having a top hole/channel or else, adding in the oil in a few batches post running it for a couple of mins after every addition of the oil

Once done It becomes absolutely gorgeously & lustrously thick & dense yet lighter & fluffier enough like the Mayonnaise- Store it in a dry airtight container once transferred it to it from the blender jar directly & preserve it for quite sometime in the refrigerator- ENJOY THIS DELISH…As & When Your Dil Mange MORE
