Puliyogare/Puliyodharai Masala or Podi

The commonest Podis in the Southern part of our country. People usually prepare these at home themselves since they still believe in the richness of its tastes and aromatic flavors!!! It can be stored for about 2-3 months time in an airtight container in the RT itself.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-6people

Cooking time :

30-40 mins
1 tsp

Chana Dal

As per taste

Salt

1 tsp

Urad Dal

1/4-1/2 tsp

Hing/Asafoetida

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat up a frying pan over the medium-low flame: Add in the aforesaid ingredients one by one…dry roast them all Turn off the flame and let it cool down completely.

* Step 2

In a blender jar: Add in the aforementioned all the dry ingredients altogether post-cooling down completely & ground it to a smooth powder.

* Step 3

Once done: transfer it to an airtight container and store it simply in the RT- depending on your usages it’d go a long way.

* Step 4
