Chocolate caramel squares - vegan
So good.
Like millionaire’s shortbread or a Twix depending on how you shape them.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix the ‘shortbread’ ingredients. Press into the bottom of your tin of choice. (Line the tin with baking paper.) Pop it in the freezer.
* Step 2
Gently heat all the ‘caramel’ ingredients together. Pour into your tin as the next layer and smooth it out. Pop it into the freezer again.
* Step 3
If you want to dip the squares / bars in chocolate then leave them in the freezer for 1-2 hrs. If you want to pour the chocolate over, then 30 mins is ok.
* Step 4
Melt the chocolate and then pour over as the next layer. Sprinkle with sea salt. Put in the freezer for an hour or so before slicing.
