Squash Gratin

Inspired by a recipe on Pinterest by Beth Pierce, this side dish is one my family’s favorites! The tender squash in this delicious creamy and cheesy sauce is delectable.

Ingredient

2 tbsp

butter

1/2 cup

heavy cream

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°

* Step 2

Melt butter in oven proof skillet over medium heat.

* Step 3

Add onions and cook until edges turn brown

* Step 4

Add garlic and cook about one minute

* Step 5

Add heavy cream and simmer until bubbly and starts to thicken

* Step 6

Slowly stir in Parmesan

* Step 7

Add squash and cook an additional 5 minutes

* Step 8

Sprinkle with smoked Gouda and bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown
