Chicken Momos with Momos Chutney

#boxweek1 #mysteryboxchallenge Momo is a type of East and South Asian steamed filled dumpling.Momo is native to Nepal,Southwest Tibet ,Bhutan as well as Indian Himalayan region of Ladakh,Sikkim,Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and Darjeeling.It is popular across a wider region of the Indian Subcontinent. Monos are extremely popular and can be found in every kind of shops from restaurants to street vendors. Today I have made Momo filled with chicken mince and spicy Momo chutney and believe me it was so yummy that in no time it got finished . So why waste time let’s head to the kitchen and start cooking delicious recipe chicken Momo and chutney.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Knead the dough using maida, salt,oil and water. Dough should be semi soft. Keep aside to rest for 30 minutes.

* Step 2

For filling just mix every thing well together chicken mince,chopped green onions, red onion,coriander leaves,green chilli, ginger,garlic,soy sauce,white pepper and salt to taste.

* Step 3

Once the dough has finished resting after 30 minutes,lightly flour work surface and roll out the dough into medium size thin disk. Stuff the filling into it, give the desired shape to Momo and keep aside.

* Step 4

For chutney microwave tomatoes for 6 minutes and soak the red chilli in hot water for 30 minutes. Now into a blender blend tomato,red chilli,garlic cloves,sugar,salt and oil into smooth paste. Lip smacking authentic Momo chutney is ready to serve.

* Step 5

Steam the Momo for 20 minutes, serve immediately with Momo chutney yummy and delicious, enjoy.
