Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Firstly wash the urad dal nicely then soaked it overnight.
* Step 2
Now in a pressure cooker add this Dal along with salt and turmeric powder. Cover with lid and cooked it till 6 whistles. Once it's cooked mashed it a little.
* Step 3
Heat the pan with a tablespoon of oil and add in the cumin seeds. Add the onions and fry till soft. About 3 minutes on medium flame. Add in the ginger garlic paste and briefly fry for a minute.
* Step 4
Now make the puree of whole tomatoes and add it to the pan. Now cooked it well.
* Step 5
Once it's done add chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder coriander powder, and the salt in it. Mix it well.
Add cooked Dal in it along with half liter of water.
* Step 6
Now, reduce the flame to the lowest possible. Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for one hour. Keep stirring every 10 minutes to avoid the dal scorching at the bottom. After one hour, the dal would have become creamy and thick.
* Step 7
Add in 1/2 a cup of cream and 3-4 tablespoons of butter. Simmer briefly for a minute and remove the pan from heat.
Serve hot with roti, chapati, or laccha paratha.
