Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place the dates in a mixing bowl and blend until you have homogeneous date dough. Transfer the dough to a large bowl.
* Step 2
In a pan, heat the flour over low heat for 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
* Step 3
Gradually add the butter to the date dough and then the flour. Knead the dough until you have a crumbled mixture, like bread crumbs.
* Step 4
Add in the sesame grains, cardamom and aniseed and knead again.
* Step 5
Roll out the dough over a serving plate and allow to cool.
* Step 6
To serve, garnish with almonds and pistachios. It is served cold.
