Dijon Tarragon Chicken
I found this recipe on Allrecipes but I've modified it quite a bit
Ingredient
Food ration :
4 servings
Cooking time :
20 min
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add 1 tsp of mustard to the raw chicken, just glazing it over the top of each breast or tender
* Step 2
Put flour and seasonings on a plate, lightly roll chicken in the flour. Don't coat it like you would to fry chicken, just a light dusting
* Step 3
Get butter melting in a skillet over medium high heat, add chicken. Cook 5 min, flip, cook 5 more min. Set aside. If using breasts, cook about 7-8 min per side
* Step 4
In the same skillet, add shallot and white wine, let cook about 5 min, turn heat to medium low, add half and half, whisk for a few min, it'll start to bubble, once it's thickened some, after about 7 min turn heat to low, add mustard, salt, granules, and chicken. Cover. Cook 5 min.
* Step 5
Top chicken with tarragon.
* Step 7
NOTE: if you do not like the flavor of Dijon mustard, you will hate this dish. The mustard really stands out. Adds a "twang"
