At my place sode is had as a side dish along with steamed rice and drumsticks cooked in a gravy of coconut milk. The sweetness from the drumsticks and the spicy taste of the side make an amazing combination. You can have sode with chawal kind roti too.
Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Add crushed garlic and slit green chillies. Saute for a few seconds. Now add the chopped onion and cook till onions are pink.
* Step 3
Add the dry masala and saute for 5 to 6 minutes.
* Step 4
Now add the tomato puree and cook till oil seperates. Strain and add the sode. Mix well..Cover and cook by adding little water at a time. Cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Add dried kokum and mix. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Add coriander band serve hot with chawal ki roti.
