Set Dosa
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Firstly rinse & wash dosa rice, urad dal, methi seeds 3-4 times and drain water
* Step 2
Add water and soak it about for 6 hours.
* Step 3
In a seprate bowl add 1/2cup poha, rinse & wash throughly.
* Step 4
Soak poha for about 30 mins, prior to grinding batter
* Step 5
After 6 hrs of soaking drain water completely & add rice, urad dal & methi seeds, soaked poha into a wet mixer jar or wet grinder.
* Step 6
Grind to a smooth batter by adding very little water part by part
* Step 7
Transfer batter into a deep vessel
* Step 8
Stir in the batter with bare hand and mix well
* Step 9
Cover the batter and allow to ferment for 7-8 hrs or overnight
* Step 10
Next day or after ferment,add salt and mix the batter well
* Step 11
Heat a tawa, mix the batter gently
* Step 12
Pour the ladle full of batter & dab it gently to spread the batter do not spread like a normal dosa.spread batter bit thick & into a small dosa, Add oil across the edges
* Step 13
Cover & cook for a while until it is cooked inside. You can even flip the dosa to other side & cook for less than 30 sec
* Step 14
Repeat and make more set dosa on the tawa
* Step 15
Serve hot with coconut chutney or vegetable sagu
