Sand Crabs in Padang Sauce

Sand Crab in Padang sauce or Padang crab is an Indonesian seafood dish of crab served in hot and spicy Padang sauce. It is one of the two most popular ways that crab is served in Indonesia, commonly found in coastal cities with abundant seafood, such as Padang, Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Makassar and Cirebon.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Clean the crabs, cut into pieces. Crab fried in hot oil until cooked. Or it could be boiled until cooked. Remove and drain.

* Step 2

Heat 4 tablespoons cooking oil, saute ground spices, ginger, and tomatoes until fragrant.

* Step 3

Add oyster sauce, tomato sauce, chili sauce, water / broth, pepper, sugar and rice flour solution. Cook until sauce thickens.

* Step 4

Enter the crabs, mix with seasoning. Lift and serve with warm rice.
