A grandkids favorite. Its a family recipe minus the cornmeal mix.
Ingredient
4 slices
bacon
30 ounces
cream of corn
15 ounces
whole kernel corn
2 tablespoons
vegetable oil
1/3 cup
all-purpose flour
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add bacon to a pot. Cooked till crisp and set aside. Dice the onion and sauté in the rendered fat. Cook till translucent.
* Step 2
Add corn, oil, and spices to the onion. Chop the bacon up.
* Step 3
Add the flour. Stir in well. Add creamed corn stir well and stir in the bacon pieces.
* Step 4
Add the cheese and simmer till thickened a bit. Turn off heat cover and allow to rest 20 minutes. Serve I hope you enjoy!!!
