Potted Meat, (Beef)

As a child I grew up eating potted meat on everything. It's was eaten especially on Crackers, bread, and dips. Doing it this way you know what you have in the ingredients.

Ingredient

1-2/3 pound

ground sirloin

1/2 teaspoon

celery salt

1/2 teaspoon

salt

1 teaspoon

dried marjoram

1/2 teaspoon

ground white pepper

1/2 teaspoon

onion powder

1 teaspoon

liquid smoke

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Brown the ground sirloin and onions in a pan. Drain the meat and save both the meat and drippings. Let the meat cool.

Gather the spices together

Take a blender and blend the meat into a paste adding oil and drippings as needed.

* Step 4

Do this in batches. Set each batch into a mixing bowl.

* Step 5

When all the meat is like a paste, mix with the spices. Also add the liquid smoke. Knead the meat like dough.
