Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Dry roast fennel seeds followed by raw peanuts
* Step 2
Add in fresh or desiccated coconut and roast till aromat
* Step 3
Put them all in a clean cloth and crush with some heavy object like rolling pin. Don’t crush in the grinder as we need it to be little coarse.
* Step 4
Melt jaggery in a pan. Let it melt on low flame.
* Step 5
Take wheat Flour, Ghee,melted jaggery, Green cardamom, Desiccated coconut, fennel seeds in a bowl and knead well till it forms into smooth dough but hard dough(and do not add water to knead the dough.),cover and leave it for atleast half and hour
* Step 6
Roll the dough to a quarter inch thick cut with round cutter or make small balls and roll like we do For roti
* Step 7
Heat up a non sticking pan
Place all the tikkries and cook on a bhi low flame, (as it is rolled thick it needs to be cooked on a low flame). Serve hot or let it cool then enjoy with tea.
