Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take basmati rice in a pan. Add 4 times water, salt to taste and turmeric powder.

* Step 2

Let it boil. Once done drain out the excess water by taking out rice in a strainer. Alternatively one can also use left over rice for this recipe.

* Step 3

In a pan heat oil add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it temper. Then add asfoetodia, chana dal, urad dal, peanut, green chilli, curry leaves salt and stir it for 2 minutes.

* Step 4

Add the lemon juice and cook for a min, then add boiled rice and mix all the ingredients well and cook for about 3 min.

* Step 5

South Indian styled Lemon Rice is ready to serve.
