Assorted Sausage and Vegetable Braise

My Version of Sausage and Peppers! For a spicier version you can add jalapeños.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large skillet add a film of olive oil add sausage and brown on all sides. Remove to a plate. Add peppers, onions, garlic, and mushrooms to skillet and saute 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except cheese and return sausage to skillet. Combine with sauce, cover and cook on low 35 to 45 minutes. Add cheese and stir to combine. Transfer to serving dish and serve with extra cheese on the side.

* Step 2

Serve with crusty bread or pasta and a green salad. enjoy!
