Gingersnaps, Sunwood Signature

Found this recipe in an all things, Let’s Celebrate the Holiday, Season magazine, in my local paper. If I do this tasty recipe again, I will make with smaller cookie balls. I only made half the recipe size but if I was doing a cookie exchange I would do the original recipe.

Ingredient

Cooking time :

8 - 10 minutes
1 cup

sugar

2 Tablespoons

molasses

2 cups

flour

1 teaspoon

baking soda

1 teaspoon

ground cloves

1 teaspoon

ground ginger

1 teaspoon

ground cinnamon

3/4 cup

butter

1

egg

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add all of the spices to the flour. Set aside in a bowl.

* Step 2

Next, in a mixing bowl, Cream the sugar and butter, add eggs, and stir or mix all of it together.

* Step 3

Next add the molasses to the sugar mixture. Now add and mix it together with the spice and flour mixture that was set aside. Mixing all of the ingredients together.

* Step 4

Grease a cookie sheet once (initially) or use parchment paper. Ensure you leave a space of 1.5 inches, or more as the cookies will double in size. Roll cookie dough into balls and press down with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

* Step 5

Bake your cookies at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes depending on the size of your cookie.
