Onion, Tuna and Cheese Pasta
It was lunch time, but I didn't have anything to cook with! So I made this pasta using the ingredients I had stored in my cupboard, but people loved it.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
While the pasta is boiling… Pour the oil from canned tuna into a frying pan (about 2 scant tablespoons).
* Step 2
Sauté the sliced onion with the canned tuna oil, and season with salt and pepper. It's tastier if the onion still has some texture, so sauté lightly until it changes the color a little.
* Step 3
Finely crumb the soup stock cube on a piece of cling film. You can crumble it easily using a knife.
* Step 4
Add the tuna and 50 ml of pasta water in the frying pan, and mix. Add the crumbled soup stock cube from Step 3, and dissolve.
* Step 5
Add the boiled pasta in the frying pan, and season with ketchup and sugar.
* Step 6
Serve half of the pasta on a plate, and top with a slice of cheese.
* Step 7
Add the remaining pasta on top to cover the cheese.
* Step 8
It's ready. The cheese melts with the heat from the pasta. Serve this as-is for children. Sprinkle with Tabasco for adults, and enjoy.
