1/2 cup
butter, softened
1/2 cup
sugar
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 cup
flour
1 pinch
of salt
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Grease and flour baking sheet. Cream butter and sugar together until blended. Beat in egg whites, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Fold in flour, salt and vanilla extract and mix well.
* Step 2
Fill pastry bag or cookie press using the smallest plain tips. Press out thin strips of batter about 2" long. Leave 2" space between cookies for spreading. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until edges of cookies becomes golden brown (center should remain light).
* Step 3
Remove cookies from baking sheet at once. If allowed to cool cookies, it will stick to pan. Allow to cool. Serve or store. To maintain crispness, store in dry sealed container.
