Layali Lubnan/Lebanese Nights Middle east dessert

#nonindian #post9 It's name directly translating to “Lebanese Nights,” layali lubnan is a ubiquitous and well-loved dessert not only in Lebanon, but throughout the Middle Yeast. At it's base is a soft, yet sliceable semolina pudding that’s then covered in cream and finally drizzled with an orange blossom and rose syrup. Traditional versions are almost always garnished with pistachios.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings
1/2 cup

semolina

3 cup

milk

1/2 cup

Nestle cream

1/4 tbsp

rose water

1/2 cup

sugar

1/2 cup

water

1 tbsp

Lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a pan roast semolina on low flame till golden brown. Add milk and stirring continuously. Add condensed milk. Mix well and Stir continuously. Cook till a bit thick and creamy. Add orange blossom water and rose water to this, mix and remove from flame.

* Step 2

Pour this immediately to dessert dish or bowl and spread evenly. Cool it in fridge for 2 hours.

* Step 3

Take a bowl add whipped cream till soft and creamy. Add Nestle cream and 2 tbsp condensed milk. Mix well. Spread this cream mixture smoothly over the cooled semolina dessert and topped with crushed pistachios.Refrigerate for one hour. Serve topped with sugar syrup.

* Step 4

Sugar syrup-In a sauce pan add water and sugar together. Boil it,add Lemon juice and cook for 5 minute. Serve with dessert.
