Grilled Bacon Onion Appetizers
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut each onion into 12 wedges.
* Step 2
Cut bacon strips in half lengthwise.
* Step 3
Wrap a piece of bacon around each onion wedge and secure with toothpicks.
* Step 4
Place in an ungreased 13 X 9 inch dish.
* Step 5
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, vinegar, molasses and barbecue sauce.
* Step 6
Pour 1/2 cup over the onions.
* Step 7
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once.
* Step 8
Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
* Step 9
Drain and discard marinade from the onions.
* Step 10
Grill onions, covered, over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning and basting frequently with reserved marinade.
