Provolone and Roasted Pepper Crisps

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat broiler to high. Put pitas on baking sheet, cut-side up. Brush with 2 T. oil, sprinkle with paprika, oregano and 1/4 t. salt. Broil 2 minutes.

* Step 2

Heat remaining oil in skillet. Add peppers, lemon, garlic and remaining salt. Saute until peppers are hot and fragrant, about 3 minutes. Spread peppers evenly over the pita halves and sprinkle with provolone. Return to broiler and cook 3 minutes. Cut into strips if desired.
