Oven cooked Bharwan Shimla Mirch with Lamb Mince

As the name suggests, it's a great option for holiday meals, family get togethers, special occasions, Weekend Dinner party etc. It's actually a crowd pleaser. Though it can be done on a pan, I preferred doing it in an oven this time. For a change, it turned out to be much better. The crunch of the Vegetable was maintained thereby giving it a unique flavour and texture.
It's basically good on it's own but a side Gravy is not a bad idea afterall. Therefore I highly recommended it.
And of course the Lamb Mince can be cooked with your choice of spices.
It can be very well made with Beef and Chicken mince too. It's one's own choice.
Ingredient
Food ration :
5-6 servings
Cooking time :
40-45 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat oil. Saute the ginger-garlic green chilli paste and the onions together. Then add the minced mutton and saute it for a while. The raw smell should fade away. Now add the chopped tomatoes as well. Also add all the powdered spices as well. Cover and cook on a low heat until soft and mushy.
* Step 2
Let it simmer for 15-18 minutes. Garnish it with lots of chopped coriander. It's done. Do not cook more because it will be oven cooked further so there is absolutely no need of over doing it.
* Step 3
Preheat your oven on 200° and set the timer for 50 minutes.
* Step 4
Meanwhile cut off the top portion of the capsicums. Remove the seeds. Now fill them all with the cooked lamb mince.
* Step 5
And after about 5 minutes of preheating, place the baking tray with the shimla mirch in the centre. It gets done in almost 40 minutes or sometimes a little bit more of the time is taken depending upon your ovens temperature settings. That's it.
* Step 6
Relish these alongside parathas, naans and even ghee rice or cumin rice. You will love it's crunch and flavour both. Enjoy!
