#cc2022 #week2 Aar Maach is cooked in a thick gravy of onion, ginger, garlic, tomato and curd giving an authentic Bengali flavor. This is a super easy and utterly delectable recipe to pair it up with steamed rice for lunch.

Ingredient

1/4 cup

beaten curd

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Marinate the fish pieces with salt and turmeric powder. Heat oil in a kadai for 3-4 minutes. Fry the fish lightly and keep them aside.

* Step 2

To hot oil add cumin seeds, dry red chilli, clove, cardamom and fry till the aroma comes out. Add the mixture of onion, ginger, garlic paste and fry till light brown. Add tomato paste, salt and turmeric powder and stir till oil separates. Add the beaten curd and stir continuously to avoid curdling nature of the gravy.

* Step 3

Now add water and boil and slowly slide in the fried fish pieces and add green chillies. Just before switching off the flame add garam masala powder and mix well.

Serve the fish curry with rice and enjoy your lunch.
