Detox Tangy Dal
#detox
This masoor dal is aromatic, creamy and despite its texture, it is a detox meal and thanks to all the powerful spices.
Here are the benefits of the spices used in this recipe:
Cumin: digestive aid
Radhuni phoron: detoxifies our body, relief from menstrual cramps
Turmeric: anti-inflammatory
Green chillies: rich in Vitamin C which help in raising the immunity levels and in fighting cold and sinusitis
Ginger: stimulates blood flow, settles stomach
I have also used the leaves and rind of kaffir lime aka gondhoraj lime. Apart from its culinary uses, due to its uniquely tart and pleasant flavor, kaffir lime is also highly respected in herbal medicine, due to its possibility of high content of beneficial organic compounds that might positively affect the body’s systems. Masoor daal is also power packed with nutrients.
