Roast Tomahawk steak with summer dressing #cookeverypart
Tomahawk steak is actually ribeye steak that the bone has been left in for extra flavour. For #cookeverypart I wanted to try this way of roasting a steak cut. It was absolutely delicious. I want to try some different cuts to see if it works for them as well.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Remove your meat from the fridge to bring it to room temperature for 45min to an hour before you are ready to cook. Whilst this is happening prepare your dressing.
* Step 2
Prepare the dressing: Finely chop your parsley.
* Step 3
Finely chop your shallot and garlic cloves. TIP - When finely chopping garlic, crush and push your knife over a few time to get a very fine mashed garlic. Mixx all three together
* Step 4
Next add the juice of half a lemon, chilli flakes to taste and a small handful of Fresh oregano or more to your personal taste.
* Step 5
Add your sunflower oil, vinegar, sugar and season well with salt and pepper.
* Step 6
Mix and set aside until needed.
* Step 7
Oil your meat and season with salt and pepper all over. Sear on all sides in a very very hot pan to seal and crust the outside of the meat. Preheat your oven at 180c whilst you are searing. This will only take a new minutes in the very hot pan.
* Step 8
Once the meat is seared on all sides place it onto a baking tray and put it in the hot oven for 15-20 minutes depending on your preferred finish and the size of your cut. this cut was a large tomahawk and was cooked for 20 minutes to a medium rare.
* Step 9
Whilst the meat is roasting you can prepare you potatoes. place your new potatoes into boiling water and cook for 15 minutes till cooked. My new potatoes were a little oil and had started to sprout with tiny "potato eyes" i just removed the unwanted imperfections of the the skin and halved or quartered the potatoes as they were a little big. When cooked remove from the water and add a little knob of butter.
* Step 10
Do the touch test to see how well done it is.Once done, remove from the bone.
* Step 11
Slice and top with generous amount of dressing. Serve with yoru sides.
