Gram Flour Capsicum

garam masala

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash, peel and chop onion. Separate its layers. Chop capsicum in square pieces.

Wash, peel and chop tomato, ginger, garlic and green chilli and grind in a mixer to a fine paste.

Add curd in a mixing bowl. Add red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander seeds powder and kasuri methi and mix it well.

Heat a wok. Dry roast gram flour till aroma comes up and besan turn light pink. It may take 2-3 minutes. Remove it in a plate.

Add cooking oil in a wok. Add chopped onion and capsicum and cook on low flame till it turn half cooked. Then remove it in a plate.

Heat cooking oil. Add fennel seeds and when fennel seeds splutter add fenugreek seeds and saute for 1 minute. Add tomato puree and cook on low flame till oil leaves the sides.

Now add garam masala and curd mixture prepared at step 3 and mix and cook on low flame till it gets thick.

Keep on stirring in between. Now add chopped onion and capsicum.

* Step 9

Add roasted gram flour and salt and mix well. Mix 1/2 bowl of water and cook on low flame covered for 5-7 minutes.

Stir in between 2-3 times as gram flour tends to stick in bottom.

Serve hot with chapatti or parantha.
