Dhaba Style Dal Fry

Dhaba style Dal Fry is the most sought after dish amongst many. It’s the easiest recipe yet it’s tough because there are two temperings. Temperings makes this dish the most delectable.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak Tuvar Dal and Moong Dal separately for 30 mins, drain and set aside. In a pressure cooker heat ghee, add Dals and roast for 2-3 mins, add red chilli powder, add turmeric powder, salt and cook for 1 mins, add little water and stir. Add 1.5 cups water and mix, put on pressure for 3 whistles
* Step 2
Depressurise and set aside. The texture should be coarse and not smooth
* Step 4
Add this to the Dal and just blend the ladle once on the Dal gently, don’t mix too much
* Step 6
Plate and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and drizzle the second tempering
