Besan Karele

#flavour3 The special feature about this dish is the Karela’s I cooked with are from my garden. This is a dish close to my heart

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash, peel, deseed the karele and marinate with turmeric powder and salt and set aside for 3-5 mins. In a bowl take a muslin cloth and cover and add the marinated karele. Drain out all water and set aside

* Step 2

In a wok heat oil and add cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, chopped onions and fry for 2-3 mins until translucent. Add marinated kareles and stir for 2-3 mins

* Step 3

Add besan, coriander powder, cumin powder. Stir well. Add ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Aamchur powder and mix well. Add salt and stir and keep on low flame for 2-3 mins

* Step 4

Sprinkle 1/4 cup water and stir. Set aside

* Step 5

Plate and enjoy with Roti or Steamed rice
