Ladybirds Experimental Tye Dyed Flowers .

So a pic that roughly showed how to make white roses turn tye dyed colours so i thought I'd try experimenting and see if i could do it . It worked and i thought it was cool fun and i thought people might like to try it for themselves so this is what i did . My experiment . :-) .

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

With the thin sharp knife or scissors , cut the stem lengthwise in half , going upwards , but do not cut it off the stem .
Image step 1

* Step 2

Now using the same knife cut each stem half in half lengthwise up the stem so to make 4 even dangley bits of stem hanging from the rose .
Image step 2

* Step 3

Place one of each food colouring per shot glass till each of the shot glasses are pretty full .
Image step 3

* Step 4

Next place one piece of rose cut stem per food coloured shot glass , making sure the stems are emerged into the food colouring in the shot glasses . ( you may need to prop your rose up with something to balance it , i used my vase lol ) .
Image step 4

* Step 5

Now set aside and leave it all sit for a few hours so that the food colouring can travel up the stem so to make the petals colourful .
Image step 5

* Step 6

Once roses have changed colour , rinse the stem ends that were submerged in the food colouring and but off the 4 dangley bits to even up the stem .
