Spiked salted caramel brownies

Spiked salted caramel brownies

Fudgy brownies topped with crunch toffee and salted caramel spiked with Crown Vanilla!

Ingredient

water

1/2 cup

heavy cream

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

To make caramel pour sugar and water into a cooking pot. Turn on heat to medium high. Do not stir the mixture. Allow it to bubble and cook until it is the color of a penny.

* Step 2

Add and heavy cream and whisk vigorously. Add in butter and whisk

* Step 3

Remove mixture from heat. Add vanilla extract, crown royal, and salt.

* Step 4

Strain out any chunks of sugar that did not dissolve.

* Step 5

For the brownies mix vegetable oil and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, then whisk.

* Step 6

Mix together flour cocoa powder baking soda and salt. Add dry mixture to wet mixture by folding in the dry to the wet. Do not stir.

* Step 7

Add 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips.

* Step 8

Pour half of brownie mixture into a greased 8 x 8 pan lined with parchment paper

* Step 9

Top with a cup of the caramel mixture. Then add the last of the brownie mixture and spread evenly. Top with crushed toffee bits.

* Step 10

Bake for 40 minutes until toothpick or knife comes out clean. Allow brownies to cook before cutting. Top with additional Caramel and toffee bits
