Chicken Tikka (Restaurant Style)
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Firstly for the first marination, in a large mixing bowl, add the cleaned and washed chicken, salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice. Mix it well and allow it to marinate for 15 minutes.
* Step 2
Now for the second marination, in a small mixing bowl, add lukewarm mustard oil (which is heated until smoking hot and cooled) and kashmiri red chilli powder and mix it well. To the same bowl, add turmeric powder, chicken masala, cumin powder, rock salt, chaat masala, kasuri methi and salt and mix it well.
* Step 3
Then add the chilli ginger garlic paste and hung curd and mix until well combined.
* Step 4
Add this second marination to the marinated chicken and mix it well. Marinate for 30 minutes or overnight.
* Step 5
To give the chicken tikka a smoky flavor, place the burning charcoals in a small steel container in the center of the marinated chicken bowl. Drizzle ghee over the burning charcoal and keep covered for 4-5 minutes.
* Step 6
Skew the chicken pieces on metal or wooden skewers. Heat some butter or ghee in a non stick pan. Place the skewered chicken on the pan.
* Step 7
Cook on medium flame all over until the chicken is tender.
* Step 8
Delicious Restaurant Style Chicken Tikka is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney, lemon wedges and onion rings. It also taste amazing with naan and yogurt.
