This is a very easy to prepare dish but a delicious rich and flavourful way of cooking potatoes having a creamy rich gravy.Enjoy this North Indian delicacy with any Indian flat bread like roti,paratha or matar kachoris.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Pressure cook potatoes 2 whistles.Open lid after 5 minutes and check softness with a fork.Peel them and prick all potatoes so that masala enters inside.Heat mustard oil and fry the potatoes smearing little turmeric and salt.Make a paste of ginger,cashewnuts,melon seeds,curd,thick cream and tomato puree.Heat oil and fry the potatoes. Sprinkle hing and add the ground masala paste,turmeric,red chilli powder,aloo dum masala, green peas and toss till oil leaves sides.
* Step 2
Add salt and sugar to taste,crushed kasoori methi and water as required.Boil till masala coats potatoes.Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander and toss.Serve hot with puri, kachori or any Indian flat bread.
