Raita is a spiced yogurt based side dish.It can be prepared in various ways ranging from fruits,onions,cucumber,and various spices.It is mainly served with Biryani, pulao or any other Indian meals.Boondi raita is very easy to make if we have boondi ready on hand.These are crispy fried chickpea flour balls and can be made or store bought.These are soaked in warm water,and later mixed in a bowl of spiced chilled yogurt. Raita itself is very healthy and can be enjoyed as a quick snack.Adding few roasted spices make it all the more flavourful.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Warm 1/2 cup water in a pan or microwave.Soak boondi few minutes.Squeeze out excess water.Whisk or strain the curd in a bowl to get a smooth texture.Add all dry spice powders,chopped coriander and salt.Mix well.Mix soaked boondi just before serving.Garnish with chopped coriander,roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder.Serve chilled.
