Rabri Malpua/Sweet Pancakes with condensed milk

Rabri Malpua is a popular traditional dessert and famous mostly in West Bengal,Orissa,Bangladesh,Maharashtra,Rajasthan and also Northern India.Different regions have different ways of making Malpua...be it with condensed milk kheer,paneer or curd.On special occasions malpua is served with a bowl of rabri.In Puri,Orissa,malpua is offered as prasad to Lord Jagannath.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Boil milk and reduce to a thick consistency stirring continuously.Cool and add semolina,flour to the rabri.Add raisins,crushed cardamom,pinch of salt and baking powder.Mix into a thick batter.Heat oil and pour a ladle full of batter and fry golden brown tossing when one side is done.Make a sugar syrup and dip the malpuas in it.Let the syrup soak in malpuas then serve as it is or with rabri.
