Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Seive the flour in a bowl and add pinch of salt and baking powder.Melt butter in a pan.Add sugar and condensed milk.Blend very well in a mixer grinder or hand blender.Slowly add the mixture to the flour Add warm milk slowly and whipw with a fork or blender thoroughly.Add vanilla essence.

* Step 2

Add chopped dry fruits according to your choice.Mix again.The batter should be smooth and of dropping consistency.If it's very thick then cake will turn hard.Meanwhile grease a cake pan and spread a butter paper underneath.Sprinkle little flour on the paper.

* Step 3

Now add 1 tsp Eno fruit salt and mix thoroughly.Immediately transfer the content in the cake pan.

* Step 4

Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.Pierce a sharp knife in the middle of the cake.If it comes out clean,then it's done.Bake for another 5 minutes so that a nice brown colour appears on the cake.Cool and demould the cake on a plate. Serve delicious sponge cake with a cup of tea.
