Curd Rice

The scorching summer takes away all our appetites. We take in a lot of juices to satiate our thirst,and are often left with little or no appetite for solid food. Curd rice is a solution to face this situation.You feel cool and refreshed after the meal. This can also be served as the last course in dinnner parties

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add one cup of rice to 2 cups of boiling water and cook till the rice is soft.

* Step 2

Take out from fire,and mix the rice with 2 cups of curd and required salt.Now splutter the mustard seed in the hot oil in a pan,add jeerakam,urad dal,redchilly,followed by grated ginger,curry leaves,green chilly, and asafoetida powder.Take out from fire and add these to the rice-curd mixture.Mix thoroughly.Serve hot or cold.Decorate with grated carrot and corriander leaves on the top. Delicious curd rice is ready
