Most pizza sauces tend to be overly sweet and somewhat dull. This is less sweet with a touch of heat. Round Table, a west coast pizza chain, is the inspiration for this sauce.

1 (6 oz)
can of Contadina Roma tomato paste
1 tsp
crushed fennel seed
1 tsp
crushed oregano leaves
1 tsp
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
paprika
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
ground black pepper
1/4 tsp
ground red pepper flakes
1/4 cup
water
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, let sit while pizza dough rises. No cooking necessary. Will keep in the fridge for a week. Can be frozen.
