Tofu Sisig

Tofu Sisig

A healthier option of the beloved Filipino "pulutan".

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-5 servings

Cooking time :

30 mins
3-4 cloves

minced garlic

1/2 cup

diced onions

1/2 cup

mayonnaise

3 tablespoons

oyster sauce

2 tablespoons

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Deep fry tofu until golden brown and crunchy. Drain oil and set aside.

* Step 2

Sautè garlic and onions until onions are translucent.

* Step 3

Add mayonnaise, oyster sauce and water. Stir and simmer on low fire for about 2 minutes until it slightly thickens.

* Step 4

Add fried tofu and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

* Step 5

Serve on a sizzling plate with calamansi. Optional: serve with fried egg on top with rice on the side.
