Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Chop onions finely (mince). Mix in Medium bowl with all dry ingredients & seasonings.
* Step 2
Melt butter. Add to dry ingredients & onions, along with egg & evaporated milk. Mix well. Add flour, if not a thick consistency.
* Step 3
Heat oil in pan on medium to high heat. Once hot, drop teaspoon to tablespoon sized portions of batter in pan. Make sure hushpuppies aren't touching. Turn to brown well on both sides. Cook about 5 mins or until golden brown. Drain. Set aside.
* Step 4
Cut chicken & steak in 1"cubes •Cut vegetables in 1" cubes
* Step 5
Add vegetables & meat in medium bowl. Pour melted butter in bowl & squeeze lemon juice over everything too. Add spices & toss with hands.
* Step 6
Heat oven to 450° [ovens vary]. Intermittently & evenly add steak, veggies, chicken & hushpuppies on skewers. Best to use a grilling rack to cook, but ok to use cookie sheet. Spray rack [cookie sheet] with cooking spray. Cook approx 10 mins. The steak will usually cook faster than the chicken, so make sure chicken is done.
