Shiso & Chicken Thigh Sweet and Sour Saute

Shiso is in season during the summer. I grow my own shiso. I wanted to make something that would contain a lot of vitamins and used shiso, which has lots of iron.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings
500 grams

Chicken thighs

3 tbsp

Soy sauce

1 tbsp

Sesame oil

1 tbsp

Vinegar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the shiso and cut into thin strips.

* Step 2

Chop the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.

* Step 3

Mince the garlic.

* Step 4

Mince the onion.

* Step 5

Heat olive oil (not listed) in a frying pan and cook the garlic. Coat the chicken in katakuriko and place into the pan without overlapping. Turn the heat to medium.

* Step 6

After 3-4 minutes, turn the chicken over and place the onion on top.

* Step 7

Cover with a lid and turn the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer and steam until completely cooked through.

* Step 8

After 4-5 minutes, top with the shiso and pour in the sweet and sour sauce.

* Step 9

Use a wooden spoon to roughly mix it all together and then it's done.
