Potato Manchurian Gravy

Potato Manchurian Gravy

Ingredient

3 tbsp

maida

1.5 tbsp

corn flour

to taste

Salt

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli sauce

3 tbsp

soy sauce

1 teaspoon

vinegar

1/2 teaspoon

chopped ginger

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/4 teaspoon

pepper

2 tbsp

sesame oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, salt, 1 tbsp soy sauce, red chilli powder, pepper, maida and 3 tbsp corn flour

Mix all ingredients well to form soft dough. Alternatively baby potatoes can be used in this recipe

Divide and shape the mixture into small- medium balls

Deep fry over medium heat until golden brown and crispy

Drain excess oil over tissue paper

Heat oil in a pan and add ginger. Saute for few seconds

Add spring onions and saute for 2 minutes

Add capsicum and saute for 3 minutes

In a bowl, mix all the sauces. Adjust quantity of sauces as per taste

Mix 1.5 tbsp corn flour with 1 cup water to form slurry

Add sauces, salt and vinegar. Mix well

Add in corn slurry and bring to boil

Cover and cook until sauce starts thickening

Just before serving, add potato balls, cover and cook for 2 minutes.

Garnish with roasted sesame seeds, spring onions and serve hot with noodles or fried rice
