Beetroot Relish

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Peel beetroot, place in salted water and cook until tender.

* Step 2

Peel and core apples and chop finely. Chop onions. Chop cooked beetroot.

* Step 3

Place salt, ginger, sugar, lemon juice and chilli if using, into preserving pan and being to the boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.

* Step 4

Ads apples and onion, cook for 20 mins. Ads beetroot and boil further 15 mins.

* Step 5

Pour into sterilised jars and seal.
