Chicken Stew (Tocăniță de pui)

Chicken Stew (Tocăniță de pui)

Romanian recipe from my Romanian granny

Ingredient

salt

1 tsp

pepper

1 tbsp

corn starch

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Chop up onion and red pepper in small pieces

* Step 2

Add oil, onion and red pepper to a pan and cook on medium heat until translucent. Make sure to stir occasionally!

* Step 3

Add 3 tsps paprika, salt and pepper,and stir well. (You can use all sweet paprika if you don't like spicy).

* Step 4

Add chicken to the pan and cook for 2 min on each side.

* Step 5

Cover chicken with water to fully submerge it, then cook on medium heat until sauce reduces to your liking. Stir occasionally! If too thin, add some corn starch to thicken.

* Step 6

Sprinkle parsley on top (fresh or dried)

* Step 7

Eat with polenta, rice, or cut up baguette bread. This is entirely up to you!
