Momo with white cheesy sauce

#cc2022 #week3 #snacks Momos are dumplings stuffed with a variety of ground meat, vegetables, paneer, etc. Generally momos are served with spicy tomato chutney. But my today's version of Momos is the creamy version made with butter, garlic and cheese. They are so delicious and rich in taste that you must try for a treat.

Ingredient

5-6 min/batch

Butter

1 1/2 Cup

Milk

1/4 tsp

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

To make dough, mix together refined flour, salt and oil in a mixing bowl.

With hot water make a soft and pliable dough. Hot water will help to make the momo soft.

Cover and keep aside for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, for the stuffing or filling, cut all the vegetables mentioned above in juliennes.

Place them in a mixing bowl. Also add-in sweet corn and shredded cheddar cheese. For the seasoning, add in crushed black pepper, chilli flakes and salt.

Mix well and set aside.

Now make ths momos.First take small ball from the dough and roll to make thin disk(about 3-4" diameter).

Place some filling at the centre, rub some water at the sides and fold to give momo shape. You can give any shape as you like to make the dumplings.

Repeat the process and make all the dumplings.

Grease a steamer with little oil and place momos on them. Keep some gap between each momo.

Cover and steam for 5 minutes.

Remove from steamer and steam next batch.

Now make the cheesy sauce.Heat a pan with 1 tbsp butter.

Add in 1 tsp garlic paste and saute for few seconds. Don't change the colour of garlic.

Next add in 1 tbsp maida.Stir and cook in medium low heat until a nice aroma from maida emits. Stir continuously and don't change the colour of maida to brown.

Next pour in 1 and 1/2 cup of milk and stir well to make a lump free mixture.

Let the mixture comes to a boil. Add in salt, black pepper crush, chat masala and chilli flakes.

Give it a good mix and lastly add in mozzarella cheese.

Mix well and your cheesy sauce is ready.

Serve the momo with the delicious white cheesy sauce.
